i first heard of the ting tings when calvin harris remixed their track great dj. it seems they’re doing really well in the uk. it wasn’t until i heard them on some tv show that they really caught my attention. their latest single is titled shut up and let me go. it’s guitar riff reminds me of modest mouse’s float on & franz ferdinand’s take me out. it’s ridiculous how many tracks have been directly influenced by those two together. however, classixx has once again stolen my heart with their remix of this song. i posted their track cold act ill a little while back.
i don’t see this band anywhere in 10 years, but then again i could be wrong and de martino can be a genius. i just don’t hear much besides catchy pop songs and a cute british accent in their album ‘we started nothing’.
