dreamfusion – simple life
today, we’ve got some spanish (barcelona, spain) producers who have “finally” started their own project to try to make a name for themselves rather than for others in the business. oh, the joy of hearing their creations with the same commercial aspect of the market yet still getting that unique not-so-great-vocals on the track.
no i’m kidding.
imagine having an idea set for a track that you’re hired for. you work hard on it, finish it, present it and you get rejected. you basically have to start over. what happens to those amazing potential tracks not meant for the singer? you release them as your own songs! problem solved.
actually, i have no evidence of this accusation whatsoever but it seems logical because it is a pattern that happens so often with dance music. for example, take crookers’ unreleased remixes. they will end up arranging their production instrumentally with a few variations and release the track as their own. why not? it is one-hundred-percent original material.
moving back on topic, this particular song has already left a mark around the world believe it or not.
me & my sister like to call these kinds of tracks “radio disney songs” meaning that it’s a cheesy dance track with common goals: lyrics that can relate to anyone, a sing-a-long chorus, and using bass/guitar with sequencing. i’ll give five splendas for this well produced commercial track.
