klaxons/justice

1. klaxons – as above so below (justice remix)
this has been the thought behind everyone’s head. when is justice remixing the indie dance bands? well i’m glad they finally decided to remix klaxons because it’s definitely satisfying.

2. daft punk – television rules the nation/around the world/harder, better, faster, stronger (alive 2007 radio edit)
althought we’ve all see the videos and downloaded the leaks from every festival, none have come close to the quality in this track. i hope you guys are satisfied! this is no where near a dissapointment. i am so glad i was able to see daft punk in july at the sports arena. this song brings back great memories. their live shows are inexplainable because the continuous freedom of effects and midi control gives them the ability to combine songs by simply changing the pitches of the vocoded melodies and even adding new synth lines and such.

klaxons

klaxons – no diggity (blackstreet cover)

what’s awesome about this cover is that it was once one of my favorite songs and hearing a complete different singer makes me love it more. the piano hook is very simple — and a lot of the melodies come from the vocals and harmonies (which is very common with klaxon’s style). throwing in some of their own synth style and drum machine in the track, they disguise the track in such a way to call it their own. i am beginning to fall in love with jamie reynolds’ voice because he sounds better than james in the first verse. they also recently did a cover of metronomy’s trick or treatz where they add their own vocal harmonies and a few breaks. if they continue to fix up these songs, they can get any genre into the rave/indie-electro scene. this cover proves my point in the hip-hop department. six splendas.
