kilowatt aka micprobes
it’s been quite some time since we’ve done a post about crimewave now, hasn’t it? this morning i woke up to find two remixes sitting in my inbox. to my surprise, these are both fairly decent.
crystal castles – crimewave (kilowatt remix)

kilowatt is the alias of new york’s dj & promoter microprobes. he has sent in his take of crimewave with melodious synths and a strong distorted analog synth. however, although melodious, it tends to not go anywhere. i wouldn’t say this is the best crimewave remix out there because it definitely lacks variety. kilowatt’s got some production skills that will probably get lots of attention in the near future.
anyway, he will be hitting up genre, dance, avenue, and a few other locations this week. so all you los angeles kids, if you’ve got time, go check his set out. i might be hitting up dance tomorrow to check out his set. 5 splendas.
